Have you been told your labs are normal — but you still don't feel well? We find the root cause and build a plan that actually works.
You're not imagining it. Conventional medicine often misses what functional medicine is designed to find. Let's look deeper — together.
Functional Medicine is a personalized, science-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness. Instead of masking symptoms, it explores how genetics, environment, and lifestyle interact to influence long-term health and chronic disease.
At Trinity Functional Wellness, we integrate modern diagnostic testing with holistic therapies, creating individualized treatment plans that empower clients to achieve sustainable wellness.
Genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors all have a direct influence on long-term health. We use targeted lab testing to identify functional imbalances and design personalized recommendations — just for you.
"Functional Medicine, rather than targeting individual symptoms, focuses on the optimal functioning of the entire body and its organs — addressing root causes, not managing outcomes."— The Institute of Functional Medicine
Trinity Functional Wellness uses the Kalish Method — a lab-based protocol that tests and identifies dysfunction in the three core body systems that become compromised long before symptoms appear.
Adrenal function, neurotransmitter balance, energy regulation, and female hormone health — tested through advanced lab markers, not guesswork.
Gut health is the foundation of overall wellness. We assess pathogens, food responses, leaky gut, microbiome balance, and digestive function.
The body's ability to neutralize and eliminate toxins affects every system. We assess oxidation, methylation, inflammation, and nutrient status.
We work with clients experiencing a wide range of chronic and complex conditions that conventional medicine has often left unresolved.
Proactive wellness strategies using advanced testing to optimize energy, cognition, performance, and long-term vitality.
Address the root metabolic imbalances behind weight resistance — not just calories, but hormones, gut health, and inflammation.
Leaky gut, IBS, gas, bloating, GERD, GI pathogens, constipation, and diarrhea — identified and addressed at the root level.
Comprehensive thyroid and adrenal assessment using sensitive testing that goes beyond standard panels to find what's been missed.
Anxiety, depression, brain fog, and mood instability — addressed through the lens of neurotransmitter balance and systemic health.
Personalized hormone evaluation and support for men and women — from perimenopause and menopause to low testosterone and beyond.
Trinity Functional Wellness uses a systematic approach as taught by the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) — the gold standard in functional medicine training and certification.
We apply the Kalish Method, a lab-based natural health protocol rooted in biochemistry, as taught directly to Alice by Dr. Dan Kalish — a leader in functional medicine education who has trained many of the top practitioners in the country.

Highly sensitive, in-depth testing of the 3 core body systems — far beyond standard bloodwork — to identify functional imbalances.
A customized protocol built around your lab results: targeted supplements, nutrition guidance, lifestyle changes, and follow-up testing.
Healing happens in layers. We walk alongside you — reassessing, adjusting, and celebrating progress at every step of the journey.
Born and raised in northern California, I am a Physician Assistant (PA-C) trained in conventional medicine at UC Davis and certified in functional medicine by the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) — combining the best of western medical training with the depth of functional medicine.
My practice centers on how and why individuals develop disease — examining the interconnectedness of symptoms and "looking upstream" at what may have triggered them. I work with clients to identify barriers to health and create the changes needed to restore and optimize wellness.

Functional medicine doesn't stop at the lab. True healing requires addressing the foundational lifestyle factors that support every system in your body.
Restorative sleep is when your body repairs, detoxifies, and rebalances hormones. We identify what's disrupting yours.
Movement is medicine — the right kind, at the right intensity, supports metabolism, mood, and immune function.
Food is information for your cells. We build personalized nutrition strategies that reduce inflammation and fuel healing.
Chronic stress is a root driver of hormonal imbalance, gut dysfunction, and immune dysregulation. We address it directly.
Social connection and a sense of belonging have measurable effects on health outcomes. Whole-person care includes this.

Functional Medicine addresses the root cause of disease, using a systems-oriented, patient-focused model, and engaging both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership.
Rather than chasing an isolated set of symptoms ("name it, blame it and tame it — with pharmaceuticals"), Functional Medicine providers address the whole person and the root causes of your symptoms. We spend time with our patients by taking a comprehensive history, and evaluate the relationships between all factors that influence your health and well-being.
No, we are Functional Medicine Specialists and cannot be your primary care provider. We require you to have a primary care provider for acute and general care. As consultants, we do not provide urgent or same-day care.
No, we do not accept insurance, including Medi-Cal or Medicare, and we do not provide superbill invoices for reimbursement.
Insurance typically limits the scope of care and testing, and often does not cover the comprehensive, root-cause approach we take in functional medicine. By working outside of insurance, we're able to focus entirely on what's best for your health without restrictions, delays, or hidden fees. Our pricing is fully transparent, and you can choose care that supports your long-term wellness goals without navigating insurance red tape.
If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), those funds may be used toward your membership.
During the initial assessment, we'll review your past medical history and any previous lab tests, so we can see the connections between your symptoms and your life experiences and exposures, and begin to see what's impacting your health and wellbeing. We'll also get you started with lab testing which can include blood, urine and salivary panels to evaluate neuroendocrine, GI and detoxification system markers.
We will focus on supporting your adrenal glands, balancing cortisol and DHEA, replenishing nutrients, repairing gut function, and restoring cellular energy production. Food is medicine and will be a focus of our treatment along with targeted botanical and nutraceutical supplements if needed based on lab testing and your symptoms.
Yes, absolutely! Functional medicine services, including consultations, diagnostic testing, and prescribed supplements, are generally eligible for reimbursement through your FSA or HSA.
To ensure smooth reimbursement, keep detailed receipts for all services and check with your specific FSA/HSA provider for their individual requirements. We are happy to provide any necessary documentation to support your reimbursement claims.
